Hold Fast has been extended in the Contemporary Gallery at The Museum of Wisconsin Art. (MOWA) Originally this installation was part of the Claiming Space: A New Century of Visionary Women. You can see it through the beginning of January 2022.
On a special note, MOWA commissioned Kimberly Blaeser, one of Wisconsin’s poet laureates to write a poem inspired by this artwork. It is displayed on the wall in the same gallery. Below, I read Kim Blaeser’s poem. I recorded this Instagram Live in honor of my mother Vicky Iwai in the gallery on the day that she passed away the same day I said my last “I love you”.
